  12. Simple fact. Most countries do not have a modern nuclear force. The U.S. is never caught by surprise over a missile test or a nuc test. But we're not going to first-strike NK over a missile test. However comma when they know that a nuclear warhead is being delivered to a missile being prepped for firing, that place will no longer exist in its current state.

    And don't believe for a second that NK's regime will last a week when no one will be able to talk to anyone, the lights are off, and the front-line logistic tail is getting chopped up.     Actually, I'd put the life expectancy of a front-line NK division commander somewhere in the 24 hour range. Less if he's on the move actually LEADING his division, longer if he's buttoned up. But if he's leading from a concrete bunker, pretty soon he won't actually be doing anything except looking at dead radios.

    And all this stuff I read about US vs NK, completely discounting the Republic of Korea's HIGHLY capable military. They will be fighting directly for their country as well or bad as all soldiers have done since the dawn of time. Some will fail, some will shine. But their military is highly trained, well-armed, modern, and they will fight American-style, which is a proven winning style. Expend material instead of lives. Expend material in crazy quantities instead of lives.
