That final season of Game of Thrones will go down as arguably the biggest fall from grace in television history. Even the actors who played on the show now agree something went horribly wrong with it. One Game of Thrones star, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, has even said that he hasn’t met a single person who liked the final season!
Game of Thrones star Thomas Brodie-Sangster is yet to meet a person who liked the final season
Thomas Brodie-Sangster played the role of Jojen Reed in the HBO Original and talked about what he thought of the final season of the show. The Game of Thrones star says that he hasn’t yet finished the show, saying that he has just made it to season four. Therefore, he hasn’t seen that dreaded final season yet. He told NME:
I’m still halfway through season four. I don’t have the right channel and just lost track of it a bit… I was thinking the other day I should probably watch it again, because it was really good.
Brodie-Sangster then further told that he hasn’t met anyone who actually liked the dreaded final season, saying:
I did really enjoy it. Lots of people really like it, except no-one seems to like the last episode or the last season (of Game of Thrones). I haven’t met anyone that likes it so far.
His thoughts on his final scene on the show
The Game of Thrones star then further talked about his own character Jojen Reed. He only got to know of his death while reading the script of his final scene on the series. He revealed:
It would have been fun to come back for one more season, but it was good and my death was cool.
Furthermore, he also talked about his comical final scene on Game of Thrones as well, adding further:
I get stabbed repeatedly and that looks a little bit comical, but then my sister comes over and tries to put me out of my misery and slits my throat and then a girl comes out the middle of nowhere and throws a Molotov cocktail at me and I explode.
Game of Thrones is long over, but Thomas Brodie-Sangster’s career is still on the rise. The actor is starring in a new trending series called The Queen’s Gambit, set in the 60s. He’s playing the role of charismatic narcissist Benny Watts alongside Anya Taylor-Joy. The show is based on Walter Tevis’ 1983 novel about Beth Harmon and is about a troubled young woman with addiction issues who wants to become a chess grandmaster. The show is available on Netflix since October 23.
