It’s been a successful awards season for the 1917 cast, despite missing out on the much-coveted best picture Oscar award last night.

Sam Mendes’ war epic has over 10 major awards under its belt, including seven Baftas.

The movie, which gives the illusion of being filmed using one single shot, guides viewers through a day in the lives of two troops, Lance Corporal Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) and Lance Corporal Schofield (George McKay).

In the film – which is loosely based on the story of Mendes’ grandfather – the young troops are tasked with delivering an important letter, on which the lives of 1,600 people depend.

While it’s questionably his biggest role to date, it’s not Dean-Charles’ first time playing a major character, as he has appeared on four seasons of Game of Thrones.

So, who did he play, and what else has he been in?

Who did Dean-Charles Chapman play on Game of Thrones?

Dean-Charles, 22, starred as Tommen Baratheon in the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of Game of Thrones.

Prince Tommen Baratheon is Cersei Lannister’s youngest son and is the brother of Joffrey and Jaime Lannister – although he is unaware of the latter connection.

The character died by suicide in episode 10 of the sixth season after witnessing the horrors inflicted by his mother on King’s Landing, which saw his wife Margaery and brother-in-law, Loras, perish.

Dean-Charles also appeared in season three of Game of Thrones where he played the role of Martyn Lannister – a fairly minor character who was introduced as a young squire in the Lannister army.

He appeared as this character in two episodes in 2013 – Kissed by Fire and Walk of Punishment.
