House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal has given fans hope that the two remaining wild dragons from Fire & Blood: Grey Ghost and The Cannibal apart from Sheepstealer, may yet make an appearance before the series concludes in Season 4.
In a recent interview with IGN following the episode “Tumbleton,” Condal was asked about the possibility of these dragons showing up. He responded with an optimistic tease:
“There’s a lot of runway left and it is called House of the Dragon. It is The Dance of the Dragons. I think there are more dragon cards to be turned over as time rolls on here.”

The importance of this revelation
In George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, Grey Ghost and the Cannibal play notable roles during the later stages of the Dance of the Dragons. Many fans have been wondering if the show would include them, especially after several other wild dragons (like Sheepstealer) have already appeared.
Condal’s comments suggest the showrunners are keeping their options open and that the story still has room for more dragon-related surprises in the final season.
What we know
• Grey Ghost is a pale grey dragon known for being shy and elusive.
• The Cannibal is the oldest and most fearsome wild dragon.
No person was ever able to claim The Cannibal, who is supposedly near in age as Vhagar. And hence, he was one of the most feared dragons of all time.
Their potential inclusion would add even more dragon action and expand the lore of the Dance of the Dragons in the final season.
