Filming for the next half of the second season of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is officially back in action. According to recent reports from Irish sources, production has resumed at Myra Castle in County Down, on the shores of Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. The shoot is scheduled to take place between July 20 and August 14, 2026.
Returning to a familiar location
Myra Castle previously served as a key filming location during Season 1, standing in for parts of Ashford and Flea Bottom. Its return for Season 2 suggests the production is revisiting established sets and locations as the story continues to expand.
Strangford Lough and its surrounding areas have long been favorites for Game of Thrones universe productions due to their scenic beauty and medieval atmosphere.

The extended filming schedule at Myra Castle indicates that the production is ramping up again after a possible break, bringing more of Westeros to life in Northern Ireland.
While HBO has not made an official statement regarding these specific dates, multiple reliable Irish sources tracking the production have confirmed the filming window.
